Apocalypse I Think Chapter 22When morning came, I asked Vince what he thought about going to find her. He said it was probably a bad idea, but that he wouldn’t stop me. Daniel heard this and panicked. He said we’d get caught and either get killed or locked up again. Samuel agreed, but said they’d probably just kill us and be done with it. All Red said was, “You know what I want.” That alone made me hesitate, but I decided to go anyways, and I made them all promise to stay quiet while I talked to her.Apocalypse I Think Chapter 22 by LilAnimal
We got into town, and Daniel asked how we’d fine her and I said, “Simple. We look for her car. This place isn’t that big, it shouldn’t take long.”
And I was right. We drove through the neighborhoods a while before I saw her little black car sitting outside a large house. I parked across the street from it and just sat for a minute. I also realized I didn’t have a clue of what I was going to say. I took a deep breath and got out of the car. I could
Apocalypse I Think Chapter 19: Ghost TownThe next day, Vanessa went out to get food and other necessities for around the house, so Vince decided to go wander around the deserted town we called home.Apocalypse I Think Chapter 19: Ghost Town by LilAnimal
The silence of the town was so peaceful, so calming. The hospital hadn’t been loud, but it felt… haunted. I walked around imagining what the town had been like before it had been abandoned. “’Cause he’s a freak, that’s why.” He pulled them awa
Apocalypse I Think Chapter 18: Long Way HomeThe next morning, I woke up around 11:00 and Vanessa was already up and was waiting for me. The beginning of the drive was quiet. About half an hour in, Vanessa spoke up, “So… Rayne told me what happened to Kevin… are you alright?”
I heard Red mumble, “How the fuck would we be ok?”
I ignored him, “Yeah… we’ll be fine.”
“I’m sorry… That was probably a stupid question.”
“It’s fine.” I knew she still didn’t quite understand what it was like for us. There’s no way she could, so I didn’t expect her to. I could see it on her face that she felt a little weird talking about them, but I just hoped that would go away.
“How’ve you been?” I asked.
“Alright. My family is mad at me for getting involved, and staying involved, with
